Internationalisation of Arts Council Malta

The Government of Malta outlined the importance of cultural diplomacy and cultural relations through numerous legal and policy instruments. To date a number of initiatives have been taken to address specific actions related to cultural relations and cultural diplomacy. Whereas the debate on the specificities of cultural relations and cultural diplomacy continues on international cultural, academic and political levels, Arts Council Malta is mandated by Government to provide overall direction and action in the field of cultural relations through an institutional framework that fosters international and intercultural relations between people through arts and culture. Culture Venture has been engaged to develop an institutional framework to develop a coordinated approach from ACM HQ in Valletta and ‘on the ground’ programmes in strategic cities.
