Cure for Crisis: How to get the cultural and creative sectors back on their feet.

This paper reflects on ways in which the cultural and creative sectors are picking up the
pieces in the aftermath of several challenges that have hit the world during the pandemic. It
also highlights the pre-existing conditions such as precarious employment, inconsistent
legislation and social security measures that were exacerbated during the pandemic. Case
studies extracted from national and international responses to support the sectors during these
unprecedented times, provide an insight into the agility of policies to be timely and effective.
It also highlights ways in which emerging policies and strategies can inspire solutions in the
process of recovery.
