The workshop provided time and space for cultural professionals from performing arts organisations in Palestine to reflect on the sustainability of their organisation. Change is inevitable within any organisation and the dynamic, albeit volatile, environment of the arts provides numerous opportunities and challenges to both established and emerging arts organisations. The workshop presented participants with practical approaches on sustainable planning practices. Participants who already operate within a strategic framework used the workshop as an opportunity to assess how current planning is impacting sustainability within the organisation. On the other hand, participants who are still in the initial stages of sustainable planning for their organisation, were able to start designing the course of action. The informal structure of the workshop allowed participants to share their own experiences and practices in a peer- to-peer learning environment.
