Evaluation of EU funded Creative Labs and Artistic Performances in Palestine

Culture Venture was commissioned by Al-Harah Theatre to evaluate the EU funded project CLAP!. The aim of the project, held between January 2018 and August 2019, was to promote intercultural creative exchange between European and Palestinian performing artists, performing arts organisations and cultural leaders.

The main activities of the project were:

  1. Creative Labs: sector-driven thematic capacity-building workshops and forum for Palestinian creative practitioners.
  2. Caravan Palestine: a 4-day networking activity organised in collaboration with associate partners IETM and the Palestinian Performing Arts Network fostering the exchange of ideas and good practices between 20 Palestinian and 20 European performing artists/arts organisations, encouraging new artistic collaborations between the participants.
  3. Artistic Performances: 2 Festivals in different locations in Palestine, with the participation of European and Palestinian performing artists: a Street Festival and an International Children’s Theatre Festival. This was organised in collaboration with ŻiguŻajg International Festival for Children and Young People and ASSITEJ (International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People).
