Mentoring Arts Leaders in Armenia

Culture Venture’s founder and director Toni Attard led workshops and mentored 15 arts leaders from rising cultural institutions in Armenia as part of the Artbox Hub programme by Creative Armenia. Participants came from all backgrounds and worked in different art fields, but were united in their pursuit of creative and entrepreneurial spirit and in making the cultural landscape in Armenia more exciting. 

Artbox Hub was an online acceleration program that provided a comprehensive package of strategic support to cultural institutions and spaces across disciplines in Armenia, guiding them in developing their strategy, audience engagement, and revenue streams to become accessible and exciting creative hubs. 

Inspired by innovative methods in business and tech, Artbox Hub reinvented the accelerator model for the art world — a dynamic entrepreneurial system that supported cultural institutions in developing their strategy, programming, and promotion to become exciting cultural centres and reach broader audiences in Armenia and beyond. 

Over the course of an 8-week program from June to July of 2023, the selected institutions and spaces received: 

Workshops & Trainings during which they met and learned from representatives of leading cultural institutions from across the world and art fields. 

Strategic Consulting through which they developed their plan and strategy needed to rejuvenate their spaces and become exciting and accessible hubs for their communities. 

Acceleration Grant through which the institutions with the best proposals and strategies received an Artbox grant to bring their vision of a cultural hub to life.
